Boulder Natural Health is a naturopathic clinic specializing in natural, holistic and alternative medicine. We specialize in helping women navigate the perimenopause / menopause transition naturally.
Expectations for Care:
The philosophy of naturopathic medicine is based on whole person care. Natural therapies are individualized to each patient and the goal is to address the underlying cause of the condition in addition to providing symptom relief. Patient self-care and self-responsibility are critical for health improvement outcomes. Rarely is naturopathic medicine an overnight cure. True healing takes time and a willingness and commitment to a healthy diet and lifestyle changes including stress reduction.
Initial Consultation:
Your initial naturopathic appointment will last 60-90 minutes. Your first visit will include a thorough health and lifestyle history, review of any past lab work, discussion of our approach to your specific health issue or condition, and an individualized naturopathic plan. New blood work or specialty lab work may be ordered at the initial appointment.
Follow-Up Appointments:
We generally follow up with patients every 4-6 weeks to support your continued health improvement. Follow-up naturopathic appointments are either 30 or 45 minutes. During this time, we will discuss how your health has changed since your last visit. We will get a thorough update on your symptoms and check in with you regarding your general health status (sleep, energy, hot flashes, appetite, digestion, hormones, mood) and proceed to the next step of your care.
The Approach of Naturopathic Medicine is Unique:
- Naturopathic Doctors work with patients to help them build a strong foundation of health in their lives. We coach and encourage patients to embrace dietary and lifestyle habits that will support their optimal health and prevent disease.
- Naturopathic Doctors provide more than just symptomatic or palliative care. Naturopathic doctors are committed to uncovering the root cause of a patient’s condition.
- Naturopathic Doctors believe that the human body has the capacity to heal itself, if given the right tools and template. Naturopathic treatments include dietary and lifestyle recommendations, vitamin and nutrient status, botanical (herbal) medicine, homeopathy, and hydrotherapy to encourage the body to restore normal physiology.
- Naturopathic doctors recognize that health is a combination of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual factors.
